Summary
PDF documents has been widely used. Screen readers can read content if it is tagged properly. Optical Character Recognition (OCR) is a feature that makes text content on PDF selectable. It is best practice to make sure that they are formatted accessibly beofre converting to PDF documents.
Assignments
- Assignment 1: Download an inaccessible PDF document, you will check accessibility and fix the elements that are not accessible. The final document must be tagged and text content must be selecable. Name the file "Assignment 1_PDF_[your last name].pdf"and email me at samornchat@gmail.com (50 points).
- Assignment 2: Convert a Word document and Powerpoint slides that you created from assignment 3 in Word and PowerPoint lessons to PDF documents. All elements must be formatted accessibly. You will submit two PDF documents to samornchat@gmail.com:
- "Assignment 2_Word-to-PDF-[your last name].pdf)" (Converted from Word document),
- "Assignment 2_PPT-to-PDF_[your last name].pdf" (Converted from PowerPoint slides).
