My name is Andy Freed. I've been working at PCC for 8 years. I am a Technology Specialist with Distance Education and Instructional Services. I manage the Blackboard/WebCT application, provide top-level support for faculty and students, and manage other services such as the student web server, the Spot server, and a few other instructional applications like Wimba voice tools, Elluminate web conferencing, and collaborate with PCC's larger IT department. Previously, I was the student help desk coordinator and I work primarily with the Student Help Desk, WebCT/Blackboard for faculty. I am only 77% Geek.

WebCT CE and Vista log format for Analog
I occasionally use Analog (http://analog.cx) to analyze a chunk of the webct server log. Because so much of the content is in hidden in jsp requests, it's more useful for getting information about time and frequency of access. You can glean some information about what content is being used, though the internal tracking tool gives you more data. Unless you're tracking a non-student account.
Anyway, here's the analog LOGFORMAT that I use. Maybe you're the 1 other person who might find it helpful.
LOGFORMAT (%j:%Y-%m-%d%w%h:%n:%j%w%j%w%S%w%u%w%c%w%j%w%r%w%q%w%b%w%j)
Should work with WebCT CE6, CE8, and Vista 4/8 (aka Blackboard Learning System CE Enterprise blah blah)
