Being proactive is good. Having a options and processes outlined ahead of time will help speed up conversion processes. For example, having a sitdown meeting with student, instructor, and disability services to discuss what will work best for the student is a good start. Maybe having each department outline a response procedure with specific considerations related to the department is good.
There is no solution that fits all and buying a lot of new equipment or brailling textbooks in advance might not be the most efficient approach.
