Diamond Craters - Twin Maars

West & East Twin Maars
The West and East twin maars are great examples of what happens to maars over time. Maars are simple, circular depressions surrounded by low rims of ejected rocks that shot through the air from the crater. The original walls of these maars were steeper and the holes were originally deeper, but have since been filled in by rocks falling in off of the walls.

Directions:
From Red Bomb crater travel northwest on the main road for about 2.5 miles. Along the way will be a few dead end roads, so keep right until you reach 3 roads brancing off. Take the middle road .2 miles to the short road on the right.
