EQUIPMENT
There are two different kinds of equipment a character can have and use. One is Standard Equipment, the other is Magical Equipment.
Any items that your character does not have a the beginning of the arena, have to be found in treasures spread across the board of the arena.
Standard Equipment
Standard equipment is anything that has no magical effect on it. This includes the equipment your characters start with and any item you find in treasures
in the arena, that do no have magical effects.
Magical Equipment
Magical equipment can only be found in treasures in the arena. Magical items have special attributes that standard items do not posses.
These attributes can consist of anything ranging from more damage, to indestructible, to magic spells on the item, to giving your character
a second life in case of death. Magical items are used like a mix of normal items, spells and/or abilities. Depending on the effect described
on the item one or more of those might be true.
Taking items from other friendly characters
Equipment can be taken from other characters as long as they are on your team or dead. To take an item from one of your own characters,
the character grabbing the item needs to stand adjacent to the character that has the item. Grabbing an item requires one action.
Taking items from dead characters
To take items from dead characters, that character’s body has to be searched first.
Searching a dead body requires one action and identifies all of the items on that body.
After that your character can spend one action per item to grab an item from the dead body.
Passing equipment between friendly characters
Equipment can be passed from character to character as long as they stand adjacent to each other.
Passing an item from one character to another character requires one action. The item passed is placed in the receiving characters inventory and is not
automatically equipped. Some items can be passed as groups. These items include quivers of arrows, sets of javelins and anything that is in a bag.
Items cannot be passed to an opposing character.
Destroying an item / Resistance checks
Whenever an item is about to be destroyed that item can make a resistance throw to survive. Every item has a base resistance of 4.
Magical items can have a higher resistance, if not under the item description.
Treasures
All items beyond the starting items can be found in treasures spread across the board of the arena.
