In the fall of 2001, the St. Francis, a residential hotel in downtown Portland, was demolished. Darcy Ottum worked for the Northwest Pilot Project and helped find alternative housing for the residents of the St. Francis. Darcy learned about the many issues involved in relocating people, and helped make the transition as smooth as possible. Darcy will earn the Gerontology certificate; she earned Cooperative Education credit in Sociology. (Pictured with Darcy is her supervisor, Bobby Weinstock.) ; |

William Mutidjo, 2nd-year Automotive Technology student, recently completed his required Cooperative Education experience at U-Haul's repair facility in Beaverton OR. William has worked part-time for U-Haul since spring of last year. U-Haul has hired and trained several PCC Automotive students. |
Bart Betz, Production Manager at The Employment Guide, is a graduate of PCC's Graphic Design program. Now he mentors interns like Kenny Crippen and Brian Zierdt . They honed their Quark skills preparing ads for publication, and they earned credit which counts toward their degree. |
