In summer 2008, Jennifer Pagura applied work experience to her Sustainable Building certificate as she completed her AAS in Architectural Design and Drafting. Jennifer did her Cooperative Education internship with Edible Skylines, a local business that consults with commercial and private clients on ecoroofs. Jennifer worked with Erin Altz, Project Manager for Edible Skylines, developing an understanding of green roof and rooftop agriculture concepts, design, and product options. Jennifer worked on the Edible Skylines design library, CAD drafting different garden roof systems avialable for clients and reviewing LEED Neighborhood Development and New Construction guidelines.




Through PCC's Cooperative Education program, Diana Markosian had the opportunity of interning at KATU News and KPTV News, both in Portland, Oregon. She later completed an internship with KEYT News in Santa Barbara, California. During her time at all three stations, Diana assisted producers and reporters in writing scripts, editing footage, and covering local news events. Her time spent interning not only provided her with a solid foundation for news writing, but also for her academic work. In 2007, she was awarded the KATU Thomas R. Dargan Scholarship. Diana transferred from PCC to the University of Oregon, planning on graduating in fall of 2008 with double majors in History and International Studies with minors in Journalism, and Russian and Eastern European studies. While at U of O, she was hired as a part-time news writer at KEZI News in Eugene, Oregon. In Fall of 2008, Diana completed an internship with CNN in Moscow, Russia. Upon her return, she was hired as a full-time writer with KPTV Fox 12 News. UPDATE: In spring of 2010, Diana earned her Masters degree from The Columbia University's School of Journalism.
