Here's our dorm in the early morning, before breakfast, shortly after sunrise. It looked like it was going to be a pretty nice day. We had some very good luck with the weather all weekend.
Our first stop of the day was at Wright's Point. Here's Melinda's Point - right at this outstanding example of crossbedding in what used to be a riverbed, a very, very long time ago.
Of course, Lynn had a lot to point out as well. She made sure that we knew
that there was a lot more out there than just sage brush. There was also
loco weed!
Here's the group at Wright's Point. Melinda told us that last year, a bunch of people got bored and went into the bushes and picked up ticks. Yuck!
Our next stop of the day was at Malheur Cave.
It was dark!
Malheur Cave
Since it was dark, there are precious few pictures of the inside of the cave.
We do, however, have this picture of a irridescent slime that was on the walls.
