Thermopsis montana
Possesses showy, golden-yellow flowers, and three foliate leaves. Leafy appendages at the base of the leaf stalks. The stems can reach 3 feet tall. Resembles lupine. Grows in the moist areas of the high plains and is associated with sagebrush.
Common Larkspur 
Delphinum nuttallianum
Bilaterally symmetrical flowers with numerous stamens. Larkspur produces alkaloids that are toxic to livestock. This larkspur is widespread, and grows throughout the steppe in the dry sagebrush plains.
Death Camas 
Zygadenus venenosus
Poisonous to humans and livestock. White flowers sit atop a tall stem. Plants can reach 2 feet.
Rock Buckwheat
Eriogonum sphaerocephalum
Dry rocky slopes are the habitat for this low growing shrub. Rarely grows over 10 centimeters high, and is found in pinyon-juniper and sagebrush communities throughout the Great Basin. Yellow flowers.
Showy Penstemon 
Penstemon speciosus
Colorful blue flower. Flower has five stamens. Plants generally have several erect stems with opposite toothed or lobed leaves. The flowers can be up to two inches in size. Most commonly found in Washington, Oregon, Nevada, and southwestern Idaho.
