Adam Armstrong, Student Portland Community College

Mr. Armstrong is a Portland Community College student seeking a two-year degree in Computer Information Systems. In addition to the two-year degree in computer information systems, he will be working towards numerous computer certifications to coincide with the degree.

Adam has a diverse work history and is currently a sales manager for an airplane parts brokerage company where he uses technical writing quite often for designing and creating quality control procedures, recording airplane parts and certifications. Adam also has used and continues to use technical writing in his educational classes at Portland Community College, using Microsoft Word and Word.

Adams main career goal is to become a computer analyst/programmer with a governmental institution and believes technical writing will be a benefit in achieving this goal. He foresees using technical writing to design computer user manuals, recording maintenance logs, and problems that might arise with computer programs.
