Amy Magby, Nurse's Aid / Student :

Amy Magby is currently studying her prerequisites for nursing school. With classes taken at Portland Community College and Clackamas Community College, her goal is to move on to nursing school after completion of her prerequisites.

Amy has kept her work experience primarily in the medical sector. This includes work at a an outpatient surgical center and a neonatal intensive care unit, where she is currently employed as a Nurse's Aid. Her job duties consist of taking care of premature and sick babies. Her goals for the coming future are to initially become a nurse, and then to expand upon her nursing expertise into other areas of the medical field.

Her current writing skills consist of entering data for reports in short, precise paragraphs. Her technical writing will extend to various different nursing charts, patient reports, policy and reference manuals and project documentation, as she progresses in her field.

In Amy's eyes, her most rewarding experience to this point has been seeing babies go home after three months or more of treatment at the center. Working as part of a team, or simply being the one to comfort a crying baby, has brought Amy a great measure of satisfaction which she feels is the best reward she could receive.
