given the appropriate section number for this course. Be sure
you are registered for credit. Be careful to send all assignments
and questions to the correct instructor.
Course Description
This one credit seminar is designed to complement your Cooperative
Education work experience. You must have a work site and be concurrently
enrolled for CG280A. The assignments will increase your job finding
skills or your success-on-the-job skills. For example, you may
learn how to best present yourself in an interview, or learn about
important legal issues related to employment.

Assessment Tasks
Each seminar assignment requires a written reflection or summary which will give you the
opportunity to demonstrate what you have learned.
Course Content
You will complete two required assignments and five additional
assignments which you will select from the menu posted on the
course website. All assignments must be submitted to your instructor
via e-mail. (Contact your instructor to make other arrangements.)
Textbook
There is no textbook for this course. All assignments rely on web sites which are listed for each activity.
Grading Criteria
260 Possible points:
Training Agreement/Learning Objective Forms - 40 points
(Points may be deducted for lateness.)
Seminar Assignments
Journal - 50 points
Informational Interview - 50
Five assignments (at 20 points each) - 100
Points will be awarded for quality and punctuality
Employer Evaluation - 20 points maximum
Outstanding - 20 points; Very good - 15 points
Good - 10 points; Average - 5 points
A rating of average or better is required for an A or a B.

D: 150 - 105 F: 104 - 0
Transferability
CG 280 Cooperative Education credits will transfer as elective
credits as part of the Oregon Transfer Degree. You may use up
to 12 cooperative education credits for this degree. If you do
not complete the Transfer Degree or if you are transferring to
a private or an out-of-state school, you must verify the transferability.
