Stress Management

Part I: Stress and Coping Inventory

Begin by taking the Holmes' & Rahe's Social Adjustment Scale Inventory. You will find an online version available at http://www.jeassociates.com/eap/stress_inv.html.

This inventory measures your risk of illness due to stress-related factors. Regardless of your score, it is important to learn some successful coping strategies for dealing with the stressors in life.

Part II: Assessing and Managing Your Stress

Browse "Stress Assess" (UWSP Health Service & Lifestyle Improvement Programs And Systems) available at http://wellness.uwsp.edu/Other/stress/. Explore your stress sources, symptoms and coping strategies.

Write a one page summary of the stressors you are experiencing, problems you are having or could have as a result, and at least two suggestions for taking care of yourself.

Use your "Back" button or the "Go" menu to return to the course homepage.
