nIncorrect: Joan didn’t know which was to blame, Jill or her co-worker.
nCorrect: Jill had a fight at work and had to meet with her supervisor, Joan, about it.  The fight made Joan mad.
nCorrect: Joan didn’t know who was to blame, Jill or her co-worker.
