| Field Trip to Columbia River Gorge |
| Date: Sunday October the 28th |
| Meet: Top of Rocky Butte at 8:30 am. Rocky Butte Natural Area |

| Directions: From downtown Portland, head East on I-84. Take the 82nd Ave. exit. Turn right (north) on 82nd Ave. Drive north about one mile Turn right (east) on NE Fremont St. (stoplight and 2 gas stations at intersection). Continue east on NE Fremont, and keep driving until you are at the very top of Rocky Butte. |
| Transportation: All students are responsible for their own automobile transportation. |
| Dress: Sturdy shoes and clothes. Bring at least three layers. Be prepared for changing weather! Bring hats, gloves, raincoat, sunglasses. |
| Bring: Full tank of gas. Pencil and something sturdy to write on (e.g. notebook or clipboard). Lunch and water to drink. We will be brown bagging it! Optional: camera, binoculars, compass, GPS unit. |
| Return: We conclude the fieldtrip at 3pm in the vicinity of the Dalles, this will allow participants to return to Portland by 5pm. |
