French at PCC:

PCC offers a two-year program in French, as well as a variety of special interest classes such as French Conversation, Introduction to Literature and Introduction to French Theatre.  All French classes offered at PCC Sylvania are based on the following model:

    · All French courses emphasize oral proficiency and help students gain conversational skills that will enable them to communicate with native speakers and to survive in Francophone countries. 
    · All courses are conducted in French. 
    · A relaxed environment for learning and practicing French is provided through a variety of oral activities. 
    · Writing, reading, listening comprehension and culture are fully integrated at every level. 
    · Free French tutors are available to students enrolled in the program to provide individualized help and oral practice.

How French can help fulfull your degree requirements:

· All French courses taught at PCC transfer to four-year institutions.
· Second year level French courses meet part of the Arts and Letters requirement for the AA degree, as well as the two-year language requirement for a BA.
