Alvord Hot Springs
Located on privately owned land, but open for public use, Alvord Hot Springs is a result of geothermal activity just below the surface, heating the ground water to sometimes boiling temperatures.
Many visiters enjoy taking a dip in the hot spring pool, a very relaxing break from the hot and dry climate surrounding the area. There is a wooden walkway out to the corrugated metal bathing house. The water inside is about 3 feet deep and its temperature is about 102oF. If you plan to use the house, be curtious to other visitors, and expect nudity.
