I was one of the lucky few to hike into the crater of Mt. St. Helens, as part of the regional NAGT meeting held in Portland, June 22-25, 2000.  Joining me were hike leader Willie Scott, his colleague Cynthia, who has worked in the area, and Daina Hardisty, Ron Metzger, Jenny Thomson, Sandra Lilligren, Erik Sommergren, Rob Viens, Vic Gilliland, John Faustini, and Andy and Teresa Buddington.
