1.  Name two ways the Klamath mountains resemble the Blue mountains (hint: see
     page 135).

2.  Many of the Klamath mountain rocks have been metamorphically altered to
     what level?   Of what sort of environment is this typical?

3.  What two types of terrane make up the Klamath mountains?

4.  How do the ages of the batholiths in the Klamath mountains compare to the
     ages of the batholiths in the Blue mountains (you will need to look at both
     chapters).

5.  Look at the illustration on pages 167 and 168.  What four physiographic
     provinces surround the Blue mountains?

6.  What is a melange (hint: check out page 175 and then the glossary)?

7.  What is a fore-arc basin?  Which of the Blue mountain terranes is a fragment
