Homework completion guidlines:

1.    Complete all homework on a separate piece of paper, unless it is a
listening comprehension exercise or otherwise noted.  Please use one sheet of paper for each homework assignment, unless you cannot fit all the exercises on one page. Write the page and exercise number at the top of the page.

2.    Always write in cursive. You may use either pencil or pen. Please do not use red or glitter pens. You may not type homework assignments, since it is important to get lots of practice writing in Cyrillic.

3.    You must do your homework entirely on your own. You may not receive any help from the tutor, a native Russian speaker or another student in the class. This is considered cheating. If you need help, please come see me.

4.    Listening comprehension assignments should be completed using the answer sheets from the homework book. Please mark your answers on these sheets and turn them in. All listening materials are available on the course website.

5.    When you prepare for an in-class assignment you do not need to turn anything in to me. These exercises are simply there so that you will know what material will be covered on the in-class writing assignments.

6.  When doing corrections, please correct the mistakes in a different color pen above the original mistake. Do not erase your original mistake and write over it, rewrite the assignment or put corrections on a separate page. This makes it much harder for me to check your corrections. mework corrections are worth 3 pts, and they are due the next class after you receive the homework back from me. Late homework corrections will not be accepted.

7.    If you receive a grade lower than a 7 (a C) on your homework, you must redo the assignment and turn it in the next class period. This is a safety net that prevents you from ever getting a non-passing grade on homework. You should see me or the tutor for help before redoing an assignment. Redos are worth 7 points.  Late redos will automatically receive only 5 points.

8.    Extra credit homework are due by the last day of class.
