Project 3 Banner Ad in a Web Page

  Create a banner ad with the following:  
 
  • Size: Full (468x60), or Vertical (120x240), or Leaderboard (728x90)

  • Animation of your choice (multi-keyframe, motion tween and/or shape tween).
 
 
  • A reasonably clear marketing message (in other words, you are attempting to advertise, sell, promote, etc.)

  • Code published then inserted into an existing Web page (the Web page can be very, very basic)

  Create an effect with a background image that uses invisible buttons to cause an area to rollover to some other look. For full points, it must include, at a minimum:  
 
  • A story, game or educational purpose
 
 
  • At least one movie clip on an over state of at least one button
 
 
  • At least one movie clip (different from above) on a down state of at least one button
 
 
  • At least 10 invisible buttons that rollover
 
 
  • A background image (can be drawn or use an existing bitmap)

Project 5 Flash Web Page

Create a one page (or more) Flash Web Page. For full points, it must include:

 
 
  • Timeline-based navigation with frame labels that creates a reveal. There must be two or more buttons in the navigation bar. To accomplish this you must use Actionscript 3.0.

  • A width of between 600 and 700 and a height of no more than 550.
 
 
  • A navigational bar with at least 4 buttons. Button symbols should be used here, or use one button symbol and multiple instances.
 
 
  • At least one nested movie clip symbol connected to one or more buttons and one or more of the button states (up, over, etc.).
 
 
  • At least one link from at least one button (or button instance) to relative page(s) using _self (the relative Web page or pages do not have to contain content).
 
 
  • At least one links from at least one button (or button instance) to external page(s) using Actionscript 3.0 with _blank attribute.
 
 
  • The .swf file should be embedded in an HTML Web page.
 
 
  • A small Web page hyperlink to bypass the Flash page.
 
 
  • Text content.
 
 
  • At least 2 images.
 
 
  • An active, looping movie clip.
 
 
  • Clearly labeled layers.
 
 
  • Well integrated content and images, and a clear, functional interface.
 
 
  • Upload the .html, .js, and .swf files to the SWS.

Your Movie Your Movie

  Using Flash, create a mini-movie with the following features:  
 
  • A running time of at least 2 minutes
 
 
  • A narrative story line which should contain a beginning, middle and an end. You may want to have your story follow a song so that it's more like a music video.
 
 
  • At least 10 different shots/angles. In other words, don't leave your audience on the same background or point of view for 2 minutes or more. (You can return to earlier angles, however.)
 
 
  • A music soundtrack: you can use one music file, parts of more than one music file, and/or one or more loops.
 
 
  • At least one sound effect. (You can use narration as a substitute.)
 
 
  • Your choice of tweens and/or nested movie clips. Feel free to be creative.
 
 
  • Your choice of drawn shapes, clip art, bitmap or vector, etc. Feel free to be creative.
 
 
  • A functional control button to start playing the movie. (optional)
 
 
  • A functional control button to turn off the sound. (optional)
 
 
  • Email or upload the completed .fla file(s).
