Maya Iwamori

I'm Maya Iwamori. I'm from Hiroshima in Japan, and I was born in Osaka. I'm a student of Himeji Dokkyo University. My university and Lewis &Clark College made a friendship and I plan to stay here for eight months. I lived in Himeji alone before I came here, but I moved to Osaka because I decided to stay here. My grandparents and sister live there.

I'm interested in American journalism and culture & communication. So, I'm looking forward to having a friendship family. I'd like to try various activities, and I plan to experience some voluntary work. My hobby is going to see a movie, and my favorite movie is "Up Close and Personal". After I see a good movie, I can get cheerful and encouraged. I can see a movie in America cheaper than in Japan, so I'd like to see as many as possible here.

I'll introduce my family. My father sells cars with Honda. I know he likes his job very much. His hobby is plaing golf. My mother works for the financial section in his company to help him. My sister goes to college in Osaka. She and I have a very good relationship. My family is good.

My major is English in my Japanese college, and I'd like to study communication in America. I'm thinking about my future and haven't decided yet. But I'd like to get a job which needs my English in Japan. I'm interested in going to an American college after I graduate from my university. But, I don't know what I'll be in my future.
