Hi! I am Hidekuni Kuroda. I was born in Kobe, Japan, and I grew up there before I came to Portland. I had been in Kobe for about 20 years. Of course I love Kobe.You know, we had the awful earthquake three years ago. Now Kobe is being reconstructed. Kobe is a beautiful city like Portland. We enjoy our city at the seaside and mountainside.
My family consists of my parents, younger sister and younger brother. We have some common hobbies, listening to music and basketball. I play trombone and belong to a big Jazz band. Also, my brother plays trumpet. He is talented to play that, and my father likes to listen to music very much. My brother and I like to play basketball. We are menbers of a basketball club team in Kobe. So we are friendly and supportive toward each other.
My hobbies are playing basketball and trombone. I have been playing them for a long time. Through these hobbies, I have seen a lot of friends that I should be proud of.I believe that they are my most important possessions.
My purpose to come here is to study business at a college in the United States. I have graduated from the university in Kobe. After studying here, I would like to help my father's company, which produces stationary and furniture in Japan. So I really want to graduate from this college as soon as possible. I want to work for his company not only in Japan, but also overseas. I think this experience will help me to work in my future.
