My name is Aya Ishibashi. I'm 21 years old and will be 22 on June 17th! I'm a junior in Tokyo Woman's University. I live in Kanagawa prefecture, which is located next to Tokyo. It takes about an hour to go to Tokyo. We can see a beautiful mountain and a river. We can also go to the beach in 20 minutes by car.
There are 4 people in my family. My father is a businessman, and mother is tutoring elementary students at my house. I sometimes help teaching. My brother is a freshman of a university, and he is really intelligent. He and I've been keeping a good relation since we were children, and we're keeping in touch with each other on e-mail.
I have many interests. I like to play the piano. I've been practicing almost 16 years. I especially love Chopin's compositions. I was really sad when I left Japan because I had to stop practicing. My favorite sport is swimming. When I feel frustrated, I go swimming and swim 1.5 miles. Swimming makes me feel good and refreshes me.
I like to know about many cultures all over the world. So I studied anthropology, comparative culture, Chinese culture, Chinese literature, Korean culture, Korean history, Japanese culture, American history and politics, and so on during my 1st and 2nd year of the university.
