 About this Site

This web site is an attempt to create a virtual community amongst Pacific Northwest educators involved with teaching Geoscience at the community college level. To this end the page is a collection of links to web pages created by northwest community college Geoscience instructors, instructional resources such as virtual field trips and geophysical data sources, and regional Geoscience agencies.

Questions, problems, or other feedback can be addressed to Frank Granshaw at fgransha@pcc.edu

Web Pages by Northwest Geoscience Educators

  • Earth Sciences at College of the Redwoods - The official web site for the Earth Sciences program at College of the Redwoods. Special features of this page includes an on-line catalog of earth science courses taught at College of the Redwoods and a virtual field trip of the Josephine Ophiolite sequence in Northern California. Page written by Dave Bazard of College of the Redwoods.
  • Earth Sciences at Shoreline Community College- A web site containing class offerings and internet resources. In addition to listings of course specific internet resources found at this site, one very useful feature is an on-line tutorial on using the internet. Page written by Richard Conway of Shoreline Community College.
  • PCC Earth Science Resources Page - A web gateway designed to be used by students taking geology, meteorology, oceanography, or astronomy. Page written by Frank Granshaw of Portland Community College.
