This site is an electronic bulletin board for GS109. This means that it is a place for posting assignments, data, and other other information specific to the course. The pages will change throughout the quarter as I add to the information that you can access from it. So check it on a regular basis. If you run into any problems with it, don't hesitate to talk to me or email me at fgransha@pcc.edu.

Midterm retest - This is an open book take home that must be completed and returned to me no later than Tuesday March 7. Please type or print neatly.

Course Syllabus - An online version of the syllabus handed out during the first day of class. This document requires that the computer you are using is equipped with Acrobat Reader 5.0 or higher.

Group Project - Information about the group project. This document also requires that your computer has Acrobat Reader 5.0 or higher

The Media Center - This part of the site contain some of the media we use for lecture and lab, as well as interactive atlases of the world and the Pacific Northwest. We use this media for discussion activities, and study/review. This part of the site is password protected and is restricted to registered students only. You can get the password from me in lecture or lab.

  • Lawrence Hall of Science Weather Movies - Time lapse photography of weather over San Francisco Bay for selected days.
  • Jet stream analysis - Animated weather maps showing the past and forecasted position of the jet stream in both hemispheress, as well as parts of North America.
