Welcome to Oceanography!

This site is an internet based information center and resource kit for GS108 (Physical Science Oceanography at Sylvania Campus). The contents of the site will change throughout the quarter as I add to or subtract from the information that you can access from it. So check it on a regular basis. Site Supplements

Media Center - This part of the site contain some of the media we use for lecture and lab, as well as interactive atlases of the world and the Pacific Northwest. We use this media for discussion activities, and study/review. This part of the site is password protected and is restricted to registered students only. You can get the password from me in lecture or lab.

Exams

Midterm retest - This is open book, open note and is due Tuesday 11/15/2005 in lecture.

Corrections corner

As errors are found in the labs, page corrections will we posted here. It is recommended but not required that you print the corrected pages and substitute these for the pages that are in error.

Oregon Coastal Atlas - A good source of maps, aerial photographs, and other information for the Oregon coast. Oregon Ocean-Coastal Management Program.

NeMO - New Millennium Observatory - Information about a seafloor monitoring system located on the Juan de Fuca Ridge. Contains a fascinating simulation of a remote submersible dive to the Ridge. Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory, Hatfield Marine Science Center.
