Welcome to the G208: Volcanoes Web Site
for Fall Term 2005!

This site exists to provide students taking G208 with course materials, references, and relevant internet resources. To use this site select the item you are interested in from the directory in the sidebar on your left.

Much of this site is composed of documents in pdf format. This means that the computer that you are using will need to have Adobe Acrobat to read it (most computers are equipped with this application). Other parts of the site are in Flash format (again something that many computers are equipped to read). Much of the material is copyrighted, so print or copy it only for your own use.

Like most web sites, this one will grow as we go through the term. So, besides being a clearinghouse for course materials and other resources, it is also an electronic bulletin board. Check it often to see what has been added.

It is one of those great cosmic ironies that just as the term begins, Mt. St. Helens erupts. No we didn't plan it that way. I've posted the following links to keep you current on what's happening on the mountain. If you encounter anything else that you think would be good to add to this list, email me with the web address.

If you experience any problems with the site or if you have any questions about the course, contact me (Frank D. Granshaw) at <fgransha@pcc.edu>.
