Podcasts
I record my class lectures for the benefit of my students.
Student surveys indicate my students use the podcasts to
catch up on class lecture material if they have to be
absent from class, and that they feel the podcasts improve
their understanding of lecture material and performance on
exams. If you'd like to see a presentation I did on
podcasting in higher education, head over to my weblog via
this link.
The podcasts are recorded as enhanced podcasts, which means
the lecture audio and lecture slides are bundled together
in the podcast, and when played on Apple Inc.'s iTunes
software, students can see the my slides synchronized with
my lecture audio.
The best way to subscribe to and play the podcasts is via
iTunes. You may download iTunes for free from Apple's
iTunes download site.
