What is WebCT? WebCT (Course Tools) is a web based authoring tool that facilitates the creation of a web-based course.  It can be used to create entire on-line courses, or simply publish instructional material that supplements existing courses or traditional campus-based courses.  

WebCT provides online  username and password protection as well as distributing course content material, set up student communication tools, e.g. class email, bulletin boards and active calendars. Online quizzes can be developed and delivered.  Students can post their projects  to the whole class using the student presentation area. 

Starting June 2003, PCC will be moving to WebCT version 3.8, implementing new features, and merging both Distance Learning and Campus courses to the same server.
