Assistive Technology (AT) added to IMS responsibilities
Working in partnership
with the Office for Students with Disabilities (OSD), the IMS
department recently assumed the responsibility for the acquisition,
inventory, placement and maintenance of assistive technology devices. OSD is responsible for all student assessments and
assigning AT devices that enhance the abilities of students with
disabilities as well as collaborating with IMS on evaluating and
acquiring new AT devices. Assistive
Technology devises are any item, piece of equipment or product
system that is used to increase, maintain or improve functional
capabilities of individuals with disabilities. View
