The Top Story: Faculty Production Labs
|
Scanners, picture
enhancement, tech training, digital cameras, MSOffice 2000 support and CD
Burners are just a few of the items you will find in each of the
Library’s Faculty Production Labs.
These
labs were set up to give faculty and staff access to many of the tools
necessary in the development of their educational presentations.
These presentations may be in the form of traditional color or
B/W transparencies, computer based presentations with MS PowerPoint, or
web-based presentations using interactive web pages or enhancing your
class with email, discussion groups or quizzes using WebCT. |
|

|
The
IMS Presentation Support Specialists are available to assist you in
creating your presentations. These support specialists have set up 30
minute training sessions, called Bits and Bytes.
These training sessions are geared to introducing you to the
varied presentation development tools.

On a Related Topic...This
spring, the Library installed a Student Production Labs equipped much
like the
Faculty Production Labs. There is a lab in each campus
library.
Now you can confidently
assign your students to class projects that take advantage of some of the
emerging educational technologies. Student Lab Assistance will help your
students with their projects. For more on the Student Production Labs,
including a great collection of 'inspiration' sites go to Student
Production Labs.
