Visual Presenter used to project 3-Dimensional
objects...
|

|
Using
the Visual Presenter to show 3 dimensional objects, such as this printed circuit
board to the left, illustrates an ideal application
for this piece of equipment.
Here we have shown the image
of a circuit board for the whole class to see. With the
zoom capabilities of
the Elmo, even the smallest printing and/or components
are visable to the entire class at the same time. Think of using
this in an automotive, ceramics or biology classes

Visual Presenter used as an Opaque Projector
|
|
Here we are demonstrating the Elmo Visual
Presenter used as an Opaque Projector. In this particular example
we are showing paintings from a book to an art history class.
Prior
to the Visula Presenter, an instructor would have had to use the old, cluncky
Opaque Projector or make an overhead transparency
in order for the entire class to be able to see it.
Got book pictures? Now we can really get those
book images to project brightly

Visual Presenter used as an Overhead Projector
|

|
The most
noticeable thing about using the visual presenter is
the fact that the projector (and therefore the instructor ) are not standing
in the middle of the classroom, often times blocking the view of the material
being projected.
This is because the Visual Presenter uses a video
projector, which may ceiling mounted or attached to a low profile cart.

Visual Presenter used as a Document Viewer
|

|
The Elmo 400AF is an ideal document viewer.
Used to enlarge extremely fine print so the entire class can see or simply
to project pages of a document.
This full color video document camera, with automatic
white balance, auto exposure, and auto focusing is very user friendly.

Ability to record to various other devices
|

|
This is the back panel of the
Visual Presenter. As you can see there are a number
of different outputs. Most common is the yellow RCA "video" (Out). This is what allows us to play the
Visual Presenter through
the LCD Projector.
The same yellow RCA (Out)along with the Red and White
RCA (Out) can go directly into a VCR for recording. There is also an
"S-Video" out for use on s-video machines and an RS 232 plug which allows
us to tie in to a remote controller.

Technical
Information
|

|
In this wider view of the back panel, one can see the RS-232 port for the
controller and an input for a wired remote.
To the left there
are two A/V inputs, along with "sync" and "Gen Loc" allowing the
400-AF to be used as a video switcher.
Come to the Bits & Bytes class
on the Visual Presenter to learn how this is done.
