Eugenia
Pardue has been involved with the arts and the arts community
for over 14 years. She earned her B.F.A. from Florida International
University, Miami, Florida. For several years, she was a contributing
artist and arts educator, assistant grant writer, with the non-profit
South Florida Arts Center. Eugenia was a resident of Miami for
12 years and lived much of that time in the South Beach neighborhood.
Eugenia received her M.F.A. from Clemson University in 1998 and
then moved to Portland, OR. She now teaches Portland Community
College, where she is a Part-time Art Instructor.
In Portland, Eugenia has been active with
a number of community based art organizations, including the
Mt. Hood Community College
Summer Camp, the Hillcrest Youth Correctional Facility (Salem,
OR), and the Multnomah Arts Center. Eugenia also served on the
board of the School & Community Reuse Action Project (SCRAP).
As well as exhibiting nationally and internationally
solo and group shows, Eugenia has done artist residencies in,
Hawaii, Hungary
and British Columbia as well as being in selected to Idyllwild
Arts “Paintings Edge 2004”workshop with Terry Winters,
Elizabeth Murray and Bruce Pearson.
